Job Description:
KPMG is seeking a Tax Seasonal Intern to join their Washington National Tax practice. The intern will be working closely with other teams firmwide to provide tax advice to various business clients, including major multinational clients.
Responsibilities:
• Research complex corporate and partnership tax issues
• Draft tax memoranda, outlines, and slides for speeches
• Contribute to internal and external articles and other materials
• Assist in developing tools, templates, and spreadsheets for SALT professionals
• Gain proficiency in key technologies like AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and more
Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a JD or LLM in Taxation, or equivalent program
• Preferred: Degrees in Accounting and/or Taxation
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
• Excellent research skills with the ability to articulate complex information
• Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
• Ability to learn and navigate technologies like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI
• Must reside within a reasonable distance from the office and be able to commute using personal transportation or public transportation
• Ability to travel to client premises as needed, with potential for short notice
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
