Job Description
KPMG is seeking a Tax Seasonal Intern to join their Washington National Tax practice. This internship offers valuable experience in providing tax advice to a wide range of business clients, including major multinational corporations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with teams firmwide to provide tax advice.
• Researching complex corporate and partnership tax issues.
• Drafting tax memoranda, outlines, and presentation slides.
• Assisting with the creation of internal and external publications.
• Developing tools, templates, and spreadsheets for SALT professionals.
• Building proficiency in key technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a JD or LLM in Taxation, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Degrees/Areas of study: Accounting and Taxation
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Demonstrated excellent research skills, strong analytical abilities, and clear communication.
• Proven ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Flexible, adaptable, and a resourceful team player committed to delivering high-quality work.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the office and have access to personal transportation or public transit.
• Ability to travel to client premises as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
