Job Description: Tax Seasonal Intern – Global Mobility Services

This internship offers the opportunity to join KPMG’s Global Mobility Services practice, providing valuable experience in the field of international taxation.

Responsibilities:

Support to KPMG Global Mobility Services tax professionals: Contribute to tax compliance and advisory services for multinational companies and their mobile employees working across borders, both internationally (assigned outside their home countries) and domestically (state-to-state business travelers).
Collaboration with KPMG Global Mobility Services tax professionals: Assist tax and human resource professionals within multinational companies in managing the tax implications of their global workforce.
Client correspondence and calculations: Prepare client communications and calculations related to international assignments, including policy matters, cost projections, tax settlements, and reconciliations.
Analysis and tracking: Analyze and track expatriate payroll, compensation, benefits, global mobility, and other assignment-related issues.
Reporting and analysis: Prepare reports, analyze data, and track global mobility tax compliance status and other assignment-related projects.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Tax, Accounting, International Business, Economics, Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration).
GPA: Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to use both languages effectively in a business setting.
Coursework: Preferred coursework or concentration in Tax, Accounting, International Business, Economics, Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration.
Knowledge: Preferred knowledge of expatriate services, global mobility, and tax.
Foreign Language Skills: Foreign language skills are beneficial.
Skills: Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills, flexibility, adaptability, teamwork, and resourcefulness in delivering high-quality work.
Location: Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office location.
Transportation: Ability to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation (personal vehicle or public transportation).
Travel: Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice.
