Tax Part Time Intern – Business Tax Services

KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Part Time Intern to join their Business Tax Services practice. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to:

Perform tax-related tasks: This includes tax compliance for various clients, including partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations.
Participate in data analytics assignments: You’ll utilize KPMG’s technology to analyze data, create tax return work papers, and tax returns for corporate clients.
Coordinate with offshore resources: Collaborate with teams across different locations.
Develop and sustain client relationships: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to building strong relationships with clients.
Stay updated on current tax practices: Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends within the tax field.
Build capabilities in key technologies: Learn and develop your skills in technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI, which are essential for tax professionals in client service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial or systems), or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
• Major in Accounting and Taxation.
• Pursuing educational requirements for CPA licensure.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics.
• Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Flexible and adaptable team player with a resourceful approach to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to learn and navigate new technologies.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the office and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
