Description – Tax Intern, Global Mobility Services
This internship opportunity within KPMG’s Global Mobility Services practice offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic team providing international companies with global tax, compensation, benefits, and HR-related services.
Responsibilities:
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll leverage a diverse array of skill sets to provide these services.
• Directly compiling and calculating compensation and benefit deductions and costs.
• Reviewing compensation provisions and assessing applicable tax rules.
• Supporting Mergers & Acquisitions due diligence work related to employee compensation and employer benefits.
• Participating in drafting white papers/reports on relevant topics in the global rewards space.
• Collaborating with KPMG offices worldwide to provide guidance and coordination for mobility tax support.
• Working with tax and human resource professionals within multinational companies to manage the tax implications of their global workforce.
• Contributing to external market and business activities.
• Developing skills in key technologies like AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and more, which enable tax professionals for client service delivery.
Currently pursuings:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Systems, or an equivalent program.
• Must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements upon internship completion.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Proficiency in MS Access, VB, Power BI, Alteryx, and/or SQL is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and ability to navigate MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Flexible and adaptable team player with a resourceful approach to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to learn and navigate technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.
• Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to work locations using personal transportation or public transportation.
• Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship is preferred.
