Job Description: Tax Intern, Global Mobility Services

What You’ll Do:

Support International Companies: As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide international companies with tax, compensation, benefits, and HR-related services.
Compensation & Benefits Expertise: Compile and calculate compensation and benefit deductions and costs, review compensation provisions, and assess applicable tax rules.
Mergers & Acquisitions Support: Contribute to Mergers & Acquisitions due diligence, focusing on employee compensation and employer benefits.
Global Mobility Tax: Work with KPMG offices worldwide to provide guidance and coordination for mobility tax support. Collaborate with tax and HR professionals within multinational companies to manage the tax implications of their global workforce.
Research & Reporting: Participate in drafting white papers and reports on relevant topics in the global rewards space.
Market Engagement: Contribute to external market and business activities.
Technology Development: Build capabilities in key technologies for client service delivery, such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and more.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Systems, or a related field.
• Upon completion of the internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Proficiency in MS Access, VB, Power BI, Alteryx, and/or SQL is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the office and be able to travel to work locations using personal transportation or public transportation.
• Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship is preferred.
