Spring 2027 Tax Internship (Atlanta) | Koch

This is a full-time internship at Koch, located in Atlanta, GA. • Mission: Solve real tax problems and contribute to the strategic analysis and reporting of business transactions, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with domestic and foreign tax law.
• Tech Stack: PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, robotic process automation, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Relationship Building: Build relationships and understand the business of assigned entities to assess tax opportunities.
• Knowledge Acquisition: Attend trainings to gain basic tax knowledge and become familiar with tax software programs.
• Strategic Contribution: Work side by side with Koch tax professionals on the strategic analysis and reporting of business transactions.
• Compliance & Reporting: Prepare corporate income tax returns to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with domestic and foreign tax law.
• Skill Development: Enhance communication, time management, and analytical skills by applying concepts learned in the classroom.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Enrolled in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a related field. An interest in corporate taxation planning.
• Experience: Available to work in-person 40-hour week Monday-Friday during core business hours in the Spring or Summer 2027 semester. Eligible for full-time employment no later than Summer 2028. Ability to relocate per program requirements.
• Skills: Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. Completion of 2 core accounting courses and a basic understanding of fundamental financial accounting principles. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Bonus: Experience with data analytics platforms, business process technology, and basic coding skills such as PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and robotic process automation.
