Tax – Intern | AgCountry Farm Credit Services
The Tone:
This is a temporary internship role at AgCountry Farm Credit Services, with opportunities in Fargo and Grand Forks, ND, for the 2027 tax season. AgCountry, in collaboration with FCSAmerica and Frontier Farm Credit, forms a network of financial cooperatives dedicated to serving rural America by providing affordable credit, crop insurance, and financial services to farmers and ranchers across eight states. This role is crucial for supporting the mission by assisting Tax Officers in preparing accurate income tax returns, directly contributing to the financial well-being and success of their agricultural clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide quality and articulate tax preparation support to Tax Officers across the association.
• Prepare: Key and reconcile small to moderately complex income tax returns for farming operations in a timely and technically accurate manner.
• Compute: Examine accounts and records to assist in the computation of taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.
• Collaborate: Team with Tax Officers to efficiently manage and complete tax workloads.
• Learn: Expand knowledge and skills in tax accounting, technology, and the agricultural industry, working with Tax Officers and the AgCountry Education Department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level; some post-secondary education in accounting or a business-related field.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required; strong desire to gain further understanding of the ag finance, lending, and credit business.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, sound interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, high proficiency in computer applications, sound analytical skills.
