Job Description: Tax Intern – International Tax Practice

KPMG is seeking a Tax Intern to join its International Tax practice. The role involves significant responsibilities in supporting the implementation of Global Trade Technology solutions. Specific responsibilities include:

• Supporting the design, build, training, testing, and deployment stages of Global Trade Technology solutions implementation projects.
• Writing business blueprint and functional design specification documents.
• Performing system configuration and testing.
• Providing end-user training to prepare business users for utilizing Global Trade solutions in their daily trade and compliance activities.
• Working with clients’ business resources to introduce innovative changes to their business processes, encompassing changes to people, processes, and technology.
• Collaborating with clients’ technology resources in the technical deployment of the Global Trade application, with a focus on knowledge transfer to enable client self-sufficiency.
• Building capabilities in key technologies that support client service delivery, such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business (Supply Chain, Logistics, or other business-related major), Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field. Upon internship completion, candidates must have remaining academic credits to complete their degree and/or meet CPA eligibility requirements.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude; critical thinking skills; and proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Access).
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexibility and adaptability as a team player; resourcefulness in delivering high-quality work.
• Completion of SAP-related courses or prior SAP experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn and utilize technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.
• Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to other commutable work locations using personal transportation.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and/or work on-site at client premises, sometimes with short notice.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship is preferred.
