Job Description: International Tax Intern:
This internship offers the chance to become an integral part of KPMG’s International Tax practice, providing hands-on experience in:
• Advising clients on import and export matters: You will work across various industries to understand and address client needs related to international trade.
• Examining US and international import/export trade matters: This involves in-depth research and analysis of trade regulations and policies.
• Research, writing, and reviewing international trade advice: You will be responsible for developing and refining documentation related to trade compliance and strategies.
• Formulating trade saving opportunities: You will contribute to identifying and implementing cost-effective solutions for clients’ international operations.
• Assisting with client engagements: This involves coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication.
• Supporting implementation of global trade automated solutions: You will gain exposure to the latest technologies in international trade management.
• Developing proficiency in key technologies: You will enhance your skills in tools like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI to further strengthen your expertise.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a JD/LLM in Taxation or International Law, or an equivalent program.
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
• Demonstrated service-oriented mindset.
• Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access).
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing situations.
• Resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
• Eagerness to learn and utilize technologies like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.
• Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and have access to personal transportation.
• Ability to travel to client premises as needed.
• Authorization to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship.
