What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Manage specialized tax incentive and deduction projects, including cost segregation, fixed asset recovery periods, capitalization versus expense analysis, R&D tax credits, and domestic producer activities deduction.
• Client Interaction: Collaborate directly with clients to proactively identify and effectively resolve complex financial and tax-related issues as they emerge.
• Regulatory Expertise: Maintain a deep and current understanding of all relevant tax codes, regulations, and administrative pronouncements that impact the wide range of tax incentives available to clients.
• Client Advisory: Assist clients in ensuring the proper and meticulous documentation of all eligible tax credits and deductions, strictly adhering to IRS regulations and compliance standards.
• Relationship Development: Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with both clients and internal staff, actively participating in networking events and business development activities to expand the firm’s reach.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an early career role requiring a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master’s degree in either accounting or tax. Candidates should demonstrate academic success, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Experience: Candidates must complete the requisite degree and supporting credits necessary to sit for the CPA exam, with a clear goal of successfully obtaining their CPA license. The role is designed for individuals early in their professional journey.
• Skills: Strong candidates will be detail-oriented leaders possessing excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. These abilities are crucial for crafting effective business solutions and working directly with clients and internal teams.
