Job Description:
This internship program is designed to provide a practical and immersive experience in the world of tax consulting. Interns will gain firsthand knowledge of the day-to-day responsibilities of a tax consultant, working with diverse and talented teams to solve complex tax issues.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze the tax effect of complex client decisions.
• Contribute to reducing overall tax rates for clients.
• Collaborate with the tax team to perform research and analysis.
• Utilize consultative skills to translate findings into actionable solutions.
• Interact with multiple clients, gaining exposure to different organizations and tax implications.
Key Skills:
• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments in a team environment (both in-person and virtually).
• Apply problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Deloitte Tax Services:
Deloitte Tax consultants offer a comprehensive suite of tax services, including:
• Analyzing tax data, processes, technology, and people to uncover valuable business insights.
• Providing solutions to complex tax and financial reporting issues.
• Offering deep insights into client business practices and procedures.
• Helping clients make informed decisions to enhance business efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science/Business Administration or Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation.
• Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.0).
• Definitive plans to meet minimum educational requirements for CPA eligibility in the state of the assigned office location.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, on average.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model (2-3 days per week in the office).
• Start date: Fall 2025.
• At least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
• Technology-related coursework is highly desirable.
• Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred).
• Relevant work experience (internships, summer positions, school jobs) is a plus.
