Deloitte’s Tax Technology Consulting (TTC) practice focuses on helping tax departments streamline their operations, enhance efficiency, and make the tax function a strategic business advisor. The team specializes in both direct and indirect taxes, providing clients with a comprehensive approach to technology implementations that maximize the strategic value to their organizations.

What You’ll Do

As a Tax Consultant Intern in the TTC team, you will:

Work with diverse teams: You will collaborate with talented professionals to help clients understand their processes, technology, and resourcing models.
Assist with strategic analysis: You’ll help clients assess their current organizational capabilities and develop a roadmap for transformation.
Contribute to data-driven solutions: You will use data to create strategies for efficient tax processes, controls, and output.
Engage with clients: This includes interviewing them, documenting workshop results, determining tax requirements, researching tax issues, and translating tax needs into technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments in a team environment.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze complex challenges.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Key Projects:

• Supporting clients with ERP system and tax application implementations.
• Helping with global co-sourcing and outsourcing capabilities assessment.
• Assisting with the development of new standards for effective tax practices.

Qualifications

Required:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, taxation, information systems, technology, or a related field. Strong preference for accounting and STEM dual degree.
• Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for technology.
• Definitive plans for meeting minimum educational requirements for CPA eligibility in the state of your assigned office location (for CPA eligible candidates).
• Ability to travel up to 65%, on average.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work model with 2-3 days of in-person presence per week.
• Start date: Summer 2024 or Winter 2025
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Preferred:

• Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)

Compensation:

• The estimated wage range for this role is $27 to $50. However, actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
