Tax Consultant Intern Job Description

Deloitte is seeking highly motivated and innovative individuals to join their tax consulting team as interns. This internship program offers a hands-on experience in the day-to-day responsibilities of a tax consultant, allowing interns to gain valuable knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work with diverse and talented teams to help clients analyze the tax effect of complex decisions.
• Collaborate with the tax team to perform research and analysis.
• Utilize consultative skills to turn findings into actionable solutions.
• Interact with multiple clients, gaining exposure to a variety of organizations and understanding applicable tax implications.

• Work efficiently in a team environment, both in-person and virtually.
• Apply problem-solving skills to complex tax issues.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science/Business Administration, Master of Science in Accounting, or Taxation.
• Strong academic track record with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Definitive plans for meeting minimum educational requirements for CPA eligibility in the state of the assigned office location.
• Ability to travel up to 50% based on the work and clients served.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities in a hybrid work model requiring US Tax professionals to be present in the office 2-3 days a week.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Preferred:

• Technology-related coursework.
• A strong academic track record with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Relevant work experience such as internships, summer positions, or school jobs.
