What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare Tax Returns: Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns, including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120-S, 709, and those for related entities.
• Assist with Deliverables: Assist in preparing tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and other necessary engagement deliverables.
• Support Team Collaboration: Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting engagement teams as required.
• Manage Client Assignments: Manage multiple assignments concurrently, ensuring all deliverables are timely and accurate.
• Perform Basic Research: Conduct basic tax research and assist with documenting the conclusions of this research.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university, with a solid foundation in tax compliance.
• Experience: 1+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, including preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, trust, gift tax, and investment partnership returns.
• Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; proficient with MS Office Suite and tax research platforms; strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Master of Science in Taxation (MST) a plus; active CPA license, EA certification, or progress toward certification preferred; knowledge of CCH Axcess preferred; exposure to multi-entity and multi-state taxation issues preferred.
