What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Analysis: Analyze and advise on tax implications related to mergers and acquisitions, providing crucial insights for organizational financial health.
• Tax Research: Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, articulating findings clearly and concisely in comprehensive technical memorandums.
• Client Engagement: Prepare comprehensive tax returns and serve as a vital member of client engagement teams, collaborating with staff at all levels and diverse client portfolios.
• National Tax Office Support: Support National Tax Office functions by drafting internal and external tax alerts on current tax developments and emerging planning strategies, and contribute to internal tax education initiatives.
• International Tax Consulting: Provide assistance with international tax structuring and address operational challenges, deepening your expertise in tax and tax consulting service lines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professionals with a strong demonstrated interest in tax law, evidenced by completed or planned tax courses before graduation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master’s degree in accounting or tax.
• Experience: This role is designed for individuals at the early stages of their careers, with an emphasis on academic excellence demonstrated by a minimum major GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Exhibit a detail-oriented leadership approach, coupled with excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills essential for navigating complex tax matters and client interactions.
• Bonus: Candidates who are currently pursuing an LL.M., J.D., or CPA license are highly valued for this position.
