This role is crucial for defining, tracking, and analyzing operational performance metrics to quantify Safety of the Intended Function (ISO 21448) Risk Acceptance Criteria (RAC), directly contributing to the future of autonomous trucking safety. The company works with partners like TRATON GROUP’s Scania, MAN, and International brands, Hyundai Motor Company, Iveco Group, Bosch, and DSV to accelerate the deployment of next-generation autonomous trucks.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $16–$95 hourly
• Team: Systems Engineering team
• Mission: Define, track, and analyze operational performance metrics to quantify Safety of the Intended Function (ISO 21448) Risk Acceptance Criteria (RAC).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Improvement: Iteratively improve the SOTIF analysis and draft SOTIF safety requirements.
• Data Definition: Define data to be collected (Safety critical events, Functional faults, triggering conditions) during open road test operations in Texas.
• Data Synthesis: Synthesize the gathered data in alignment with SOTIF targets.
• Reporting: Generate test reports and actionable insights per release.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively enrolled in a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Engineering study.
• Experience: Previous experience or research with Autonomous Driving, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), or Robotics.
• Skills: Proficiency in Python and C++; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Bonus: Using Linux based tools is preferred, but not necessary.
