Systems Engineering Intern | General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS)
The Tone:
This is an internship at General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), located in Pittsfield, MA. GDMS engineers a diverse portfolio of high-technology solutions and services that enable customers to successfully execute critical missions across all operational domains. As an intern, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects, directly contributing to high-stakes national security missions and supporting the nation’s fundamental defense services. You will specifically help deliver computing networks for Surface Ships, working with a dedicated and technically accomplished team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Apply Skills: Apply classroom-learned skills to programs that support the defense of the country.
• Collaborate: Work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with GDMS’s core mission.
• Develop Networks: Specifically work with the Network Infrastructure team to help deliver the computing network for Surface Ships.
• Contribute: Contribute to high-stakes national security missions by working with esteemed customers and colleagues.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline, with a preference for a sophomore standing or higher. Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology. U.S. citizenship is required.
