Job Description:
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opening in Fort Worth for a Systems Engineer supporting the JSF program. This role involves providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity, collaborating with a diverse team, and interacting with external customers. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-oriented, a team player, and able to multitask. US Citizenship and a government security clearance are required. The position is located at a facility requiring special access.
Responsibilities:
• Support risk assessments and mitigation plans, balancing technical risks between systems.
• Leverage Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) to support the development of functional, architectural, and detailed designs. Incrementally develop designs based on operational scenarios and customer requirements.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting.
• Provide guidance on operations and maintenance, defining and communicating test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities.
• Analyze, test, and iterate technical requirements, user stories, and operations concepts in a cross-functional manner. Provide technical direction and clarification of requirements within the DevSecOps team.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in electronic equipment testing/lab support (includes college experience).
• 1+ years of hands-on experience reading and understanding Engineering Technical Documents (includes college experience).
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in a project organization (includes college experience).
Desired Skills:
• Experience with CE Mark compliance testing, focusing on EMI/EMC testing and product safety evaluations.
• Electrical engineering background.
• Experience performing ATEX evaluations.
• RF testing experience.
• Deep understanding of CE, FCC, DO-160, and MIL-STD-461 testing.
• Experience with Automated Test Equipment.
• Experience in Qualification Testing Document Development.
• Experience executing work under quality management standards like ISO 17025 and AS9100.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office M365 Applications.
Security Clearance: A government security clearance is required; US Citizenship is mandatory. The clearance level is Secret.
Work Location and Schedule: Part-time remote telework is available; the specific schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. A 4×10-hour day schedule (3 days off per week) is offered.
