Job Description:
Nagios is offering a temporary, onsite 3-month internship in Saint Paul, MN. This internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the preparation and execution of the 2025 Nagios World Conference. The intern will support the IT, Development, and Marketing teams through various tasks, including:
• Assisting with the preparation and hosting of the 2025 Nagios World Conference.
• Creating and updating documentation.
• Providing support to the IT and Marketing teams.
• Managing IT equipment and services.
• Developing new software solutions (and enhancing existing solutions) relating to IT systems/network management.
• Troubleshooting and fixing bugs in existing software solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, goal-driven, and possess excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Required Experience:
• Employment OR hobby experience managing IT software, services, and or devices.
Preferred Experience:
• Working knowledge of using and managing Linux systems
• Experience with network admin tasks
• Experience with Nagios or other monitoring application
• Experience with managing network infrastructure components (switches, routers, APs, etc.)
• Experience in creating documentation and/or video tutorials
• Experience with using and administering Windows machines
• Experience of performing desktop support, server support, or network support
Additional Information:
• Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (fully onsite)
• Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
• Wage: $25/hr+ DOQ
