Job Description
This document outlines the Sustainability/EHS Internship Program at Lincoln Electric’s Euclid, Ohio location.
Program Overview:
The internship program is specifically designed for bright, driven individuals, aiming to bridge their academic knowledge with practical, hands-on experience in real-world advanced manufacturing, innovation, and leadership. The target program dates are May 26th to August 7th, 2026. While local candidates are preferred, a temporary housing stipend may be available for those residing outside the immediate internship location area.

Overview of the Program (Responsibilities and Experience):
The Sustainability/EHS Internship offers a comprehensive experience spanning both Corporate and Site-level Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) functions. Participants will:
• Engage in product stewardship activities, including addressing customer inquiries, managing chemical data, and conducting industrial hygiene monitoring.
• Support sustainability initiatives through life cycle assessment modeling, reporting, and awareness campaigns.
• Contribute to EHS by drafting guidance documents, participating in environmental projects, and assisting with safety risk assessments.
• At the site level, interns will conduct inspections, audits, and incident analyses, aid in developing training materials, and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing energy, water, and waste.
Potential Projects for Interns:
• Fulfilling Product Stewardship customer inquiries.
• Performing data entry and analysis to support EHS chemical information management, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring, and reporting.
• Conducting Industrial Hygiene workplace exposure monitoring and weld fume analysis.
• Supporting data modeling for life cycle assessment.
• Assisting with external disclosures, sustainability reporting, and internal awareness campaigns.
• Drafting EHS guidance documents and fact sheets.
• Supporting environmental initiatives and projects focused on energy, waste, and water reduction.
• Participating in safety risk assessments and incident analysis.
• Conducting risk assessments, EHS inspections, audits, and incident analysis.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of training materials and safety programs.
• Supporting site-level projects focused on energy, water, and waste reduction.
• Participating in learning teams and continuous improvement events.
Basic Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or having achieved a bachelor’s degree.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A degree in any of the following disciplines: Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety Management, Sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety, or Public Health.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Demonstrated interest in sustainability and the environmental health and safety field.
• Desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
