The TL;DR

• Location: Pensacola, FL

• Mission: To assist the field survey crew in collecting accurate data, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew.
• Maintain: Ensure the quality, safety, and proper maintenance of survey equipment and vehicles.
• Operate: Operate various types of survey equipment.
• Collect: Accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features.
• Protect: Protect and maintain equipment and vehicles while ensuring a safe work environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a four-year surveying or engineering college program, or a two-year surveying associates degree. Must meet academic requirements for an internship.
• Experience: Previous jobs working outside on a regular basis, preferably in extreme conditions.
• Skills: Good technical skills, process-oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, and a problem solver who can work alone when required. Must be methodical, consistent, detail-oriented, and precise. Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Bonus: A strong motivation to develop your Geomatics career technically and professionally.
