Primary Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this internship is to provide comprehensive exposure to both field and office workflows, fostering your professional development. During the semester, students will be exposed to and gain experience in the following key areas:

  • Project research
  • Survey calculations
  • Drafting using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, MicroStation, and TopoDOT
  • Adherence to field safety protocols
  • Hands-on experience with advanced surveying equipment, including GNSS Receivers, Digital Levels, LiDAR scanners, and Total Stations
  • Field notes reduction and field-to-finish processing

What You’ll Need (Qualifications)

  • Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year degree program with a Geomatics or Survey focus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to effectively meet deadlines.
  • A detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute positively to the work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with an approved/acceptable driving history.
