Job Description: Supply Chain Web & Data Development Intern
This is a paid, full-time summer internship (May 19th, 2025 – August 8th, 2025) at SpartanNash’s Byron Center, Michigan location. The program offers exposure to the grocery and distribution industry, real-world problem-solving, and social/educational opportunities with other interns.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop real-time web-based analytical dashboards supporting operations.
• Tasks include data sourcing, code development, testing, and solution implementation.
• Complete or participate in at least one strategic Capstone Project, potentially presenting it to the executive team.
• Participate in learning opportunities, including warehouse/retail store tours and community service events.
• Attend weekly professional development workshops.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Design & Development, or a related field.
• Active student through summer 2025, graduating December 2025 or later.
• Willingness to attend mandatory in-person events in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater (Preferred)
• Relevant work experience (Prior internship or campus experience – Preferred)
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Required)
• SQL knowledge (Required)
• HTML knowledge (Required)
• Python knowledge (Required)
• JavaScript knowledge (Required)
• CSS knowledge (Required)
• Web development concept understanding (Required)
• Analytics and User Interface Design experience (Preferred)
• Supply Chain knowledge (Preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
