Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Sustainability Intern, you will:

• Provide crucial support to the development and execution of supplier engagement strategies. This involves collaborating on initiatives designed to foster environmental responsibility, ensure regulatory compliance, and build resilience across IBM’s extensive global supply chain, contributing to a more sustainable ecosystem.
• Actively leverage state-of-the-art AI-powered tools and dynamic dashboards to conduct in-depth analysis of complex supply chain data. Your focus will be on critical sustainability metrics such as emissions, energy efficiency, and waste reduction, extracting actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
• Play a key role in the continuous development and refinement of sustainable procurement policies and robust supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You will explore and apply principles of automation and intelligent workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in these critical areas.
• Assist in the vital task of monitoring emerging global regulations related to supply chain sustainability. Your contributions will help meticulously map IBM’s supply chain impact, providing essential data to support proactive advocacy and ensure unwavering compliance.
• Become proficient in leveraging IBM’s groundbreaking technologies, including Client Zero, Watsonx, and various advanced analytics platforms, to proactively assess sustainability risks and identify compelling opportunities for innovation and improvement within the supply chain.

Preferred Education

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, ideally within fields such as Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related discipline, demonstrating a foundational interest and relevant academic pursuit.
