Job Description: Supply Chain & Material Control Intern

We connect the network with integrated supply chain solutions to safeguard production. Our core mission is ensuring parts supply at the right time, right place, quantity, and quality for continuous production.

  • Material Control
  • Transportation Control
  • Delivery Assurance

We are the Gatekeepers of the supply chain for the ultimate driving machine.

Key Responsibilities and Projects:

  • Addressing areas of uncertainty for material control, including forecast errors, yield losses, and issues in the timing of demand and supply (random lead times).
  • Finding alternatives to the current solution of carrying safety stock.
  • Development of concepts and IT solutions in support of essential daily tasks.
  • Creating and maintaining visualization tools, such as material planning dashboards.
  • Optimizing processes for the availability of materials, components, and products for planned production and customer delivery.
  • Defining the lowest possible level of inventory.
  • Understanding the uncertainty of material planning in the body shop area, finding improvements, and increasing planning efficiencies.
  • Support with process mapping of the business and documentation of standard processes.
  • Utilizing resources to support overall planning activities.
  • Ability to lead team meetings and give presentations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • The ideal candidate will have completed (or is in the process of receiving) a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major). Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Experience using Power BI, SQL, Data Lake, etc., is a bonus.

Employment Requirements:

  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
