Supply Chain Internship in Procurement and Logistics

This internship offers the opportunity to dive into key aspects of O-I’s supply chain operations. You will learn and assist in areas such as:

Procurement and Logistics:

Buying and Expediting: Understanding the process of procuring materials and ensuring timely delivery.
Invoice Resolution: Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies.
Market Intelligence for Sourcing Events: Researching and analyzing market trends for sourcing decisions.
Spend Analysis: Analyzing procurement data to identify cost optimization opportunities.
Master Data Analysis: Working with and analyzing data related to materials, suppliers, and other supply chain elements.
Material Inventory Tracking: Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring efficient management.
Procurement and Business Process Reviews: Evaluating and improving procurement processes.
Freight Tendering: Managing the process of procuring transportation services.
Transportation Spend Data Analysis: Analyzing transportation costs to identify potential savings.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning: You will gain a deep understanding of fundamental business processes within the supply chain, including plant procurement, freight tendering, data analysis, inventory tracking, and production order management.
Project Leadership: You will be tasked with leading smaller projects, providing updates, escalating issues, and making improvement recommendations to management.
KPI Tracking: You will help create and maintain key supply chain KPIs such as inventory levels, service performance, and forecast accuracy.
Schedule Management: You may be involved in maintaining and creating manufacturing production schedules for O-I facilities.
Ad Hoc Analysis: You will perform various ad hoc supply chain analyses to support the team’s efforts.

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (logistics, purchasing/sourcing, operations, or transportation).
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills are essential.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Targeted graduation range: December 2025 to August 2026.
