Supply Chain Intern | Skydio

This is an internship at Skydio, located in San Mateo, CA. The company develops advanced AI, hardware, and software products with operational excellence to empower diverse drone users, from inspectors to first responders and soldiers. This role is crucial for gaining hands-on experience within the supply chain and operations team, providing exposure to real-world challenges and contributing to projects that enhance efficiency, visibility, and overall performance.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, San Mateo, CA
• Pay: $41–$53 hourly
• Team: Supply Chain and Operations team
• Mission: To solve real-world supply chain challenges by improving efficiency, visibility, and performance through project contributions.
• Tech Stack: Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support supplier performance management by creating dashboards of on-time-delivery, quality, and cost.
• Develop supply chain strategy to optimize for mitigating geo-political risks by mapping current architecture and recommending future improvements.
• Establish a product costing process to manage standard costing, identify risks and opportunities, and track cost trends.
• Contribute to projects that improve efficiency, visibility, and performance within the supply chain.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gain hands-on experience and address supply chain challenges.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Working with data to draw meaningful insights.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas); Strong attention to detail.
