About Rocket Lab:
Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems. They design, build, and launch rockets and satellites for a variety of missions, including scientific exploration, Earth observation, climate change mitigation, national security, and technology demonstrations. Their Electron rocket, launched since 2018, is one of the world’s most frequently launched rockets. Their upcoming Neutron rocket will be a reusable, 13-tonne payload class rocket designed for launching mega-constellations. Rocket Lab’s space systems business also encompasses a wide range of satellites and components, supporting over 1,700 missions, including notable projects like the James Webb Space Telescope, NASA Psyche Mission, Artemis I, and the Mars Ingenuity helicopter.
Job Description: Supply Chain Intern
Location: Long Beach, California
Responsibilities:
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will support Rocket Lab’s Supply Chain team in identifying cost reduction opportunities. This involves working closely with a mentor and other team members to apply your knowledge and develop your skills. Specific tasks will include:
• Applying engineering and industry concepts to solve real-world challenges within a fast-paced environment.
• Participating in regular one-on-one meetings with mentors and supervisors to track progress and facilitate learning.
• Engaging in tech talks and networking events with other interns and employees.
Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate program in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of corporate function experience in supply chain.
Preferred Qualifications:
• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• 6+ months of corporate function experience in supply chain.
• Data analytics experience.
• Experience using SQL.
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks, starting in January, February, or March 2025.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay Range (CA): $25.00 USD hourly
