Description: Supply Chain Graduate Intern – Sourcing
This 10-12 week summer internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to AT&T’s Supply Chain Sourcing team. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in negotiating large strategic deals, managing the end-to-end sourcing process, and developing strategies with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in negotiating strategic deals valued in excess of $10M annual spend.
• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process for AT&T products or services using competitive bidding processes through contract execution.
• Stay current on market intelligence to enhance negotiation effectiveness.
• Contribute to the establishment and administration of business unit policies, procedures, and systems.
• Interpret terms and conditions of contractual obligations and act when contractual provisions are negatively impacted by the supplier (e.g., termination letters, bankruptcies, breach notifications).
• Assist in drafting and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.
• Manage the Request For Proposal (RFP) process.
• Develop strategies with clients and various stakeholders.
Currently pursuings:
• Currently enrolled in a graduate or J.D. degree program with an academic concentration in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or other relevant degree.
• Graduation expected by Spring 2026.
• Experience managing RFP processes and utilizing competitive bid tools (e.g., RFQ, Reverse Auction).
• Ability to develop financial models, including present mode of operation (PMO) and future mode of operation (FMO), to determine business cases for deals or comparisons between vendors.
• Ability to exercise impartial judgment in selecting methods for obtaining results or evaluating supplier responses to RFXs.
• Experience leading high-impact quality projects (Six Sigma, Lean, TL9000, etc.).
• Demonstrated transactional law expertise.
• Ability to draft and edit contracts and understand the legal implications.
• Background in Business Law, including coursework in Business Associations or Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Dispute Resolution, Antitrust, Corporate Tax, and Intellectual Property.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in influencing others and negotiating pricing using benchmarking and cost tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical subject matter effectively.
• Proficiency in managing external business-partner relationships with diverse goals.
• Background in the telecommunications or high-technology industries is beneficial.
• Previous experience leading others is advantageous.

Compensation:
$80,000 yearly
