Job Description, Detailed

This opportunity is for a Summer Internship within the Supply Chain Finance Team at The Marzetti Company, slated for the summer of 2026. This 12-week program is part of The Marzetti Company Summer Internship Program, designed for ambitious students ready to launch their careers, offering hands-on experience to build resumes and expand post-graduation career possibilities. The program aims to provide students with unique experiences in their field of interest, coupled with valuable insight into other key areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in critical finance activities supporting the supply chain, including:
Product costing modeling and analysis: Developing and analyzing cost structures for products.
Variance research and analysis: Investigating and understanding discrepancies in material usage and production costs.
Project work: Contributing to specific projects focused on labor modeling, identifying cost savings opportunities, analyzing Material Usage Variances (MUV), and improving overall efficiencies.

Qualifications:
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
Education: Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program at an accredited University, with a primary focus in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
Leadership & Teamwork: Demonstrated experience in teamwork and leadership roles, evidenced through extracurricular activities and/or prior work experience.
Communication Skills: Possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrates sound judgment and applies logical thinking processes when developing solutions to challenges.
Proactiveness: Displays a strong sense of curiosity and initiative.
Professionalism: Exhibits a professional and positive attitude when interacting with team members.
Work Ethic: Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively as an integral part of a team.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office® applications, with a specific emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
