FuelUp is experiencing rapid growth and is building a next-generation mobile fueling and fleet maintenance infrastructure across Utah and Arizona.
About the Role
FuelUp is seeking a motivated Summer Sales Intern to help expand their reach within small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). The intern’s primary goal is to identify potential customers, generate excitement about FuelUp’s services, and schedule qualified meetings with the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prospecting: Identifying local SMBs within target industries.
• Lead Generation: Building and managing outbound lead lists through cold calling, email marketing, LinkedIn outreach, and in-person visits (walk-ins).
• Lead Qualification: Assessing inbound leads and understanding their specific challenges (pain points).
• Scheduling: Booking and potentially conducting initial discovery calls or demos.
• Collaboration: Working with the operations team to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
• Reporting: Tracking and reporting on the progress of the sales pipeline.
• Strategy: Collaborating closely with the CEO and sales leadership to refine and improve the sales approach.
Ideal Candidate:
• Possesses 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, or field marketing, with a preference for B2B or SMB-focused experience.
• Is a confident communicator who is comfortable with cold calling and in-person business visits.
• Is organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
• Is familiar with CRMs and basic sales tools or eager to learn them quickly.
• Bonus points for a background in field services, fleet management, or local logistics.
