Job Description:

This is a Summer Safety Internship opportunity within Cupertino Electric, Inc.’s (CEI) Internship Program. The program is a 10-to-12-week experience designed to expose undergraduate and post-graduate students to various aspects of CEI’s core markets. Interns will have opportunities to contribute to real-world projects and build industry connections. The role involves supporting safety efforts on construction projects across various locations in the US, including but not limited to California, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Utah.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

• Supporting Crew Foreman/General Foremen in the development of Job Hazard Analyses.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks.
• Assisting with regulatory compliance and audit oversight.
• Providing regular feedback to project leadership on areas for safety improvement and recognition.
• Coaching and mentoring employees on safe and unsafe behaviors, providing recognition for safe practices.
• Supporting Project Leadership in the execution of weekly toolbox safety meetings.
• Supporting Project Leadership in the completion of incident investigations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current student studying Safety, EHS, or a similar major.
• Authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship not available).

Compensation:

• $25.77/hour to $35.23/hour (Final determination of pay is based on factors including market location, knowledge, skills, education and experience).
