Embark on a dynamic 10-week summer internship with JBS USA, where your unique perspective and knowledge will be instrumental in identifying operational gaps and driving process efficiency improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to the Live Operations Team.
- Shadowing within the Hatchery: Gain deep understanding of proper egg handling procedures, vaccinations, transferring, and chick handling, along with insight into each employee’s role in this critical area.
- Broilers Operations: Witness effective communication with growers and shadow broiler technicians to grasp their day-to-day responsibilities. Acquire knowledge on optimal housing and farm conditions/operations.
- Breeders Operations: Get firsthand experience by shadowing pullet crews, participating in servicing, vaccinations, and weighing processes.
- Feed Mills Exploration: Conduct a thorough tour of the feed mill to observe the entire production process. Understand the different types of feed and testing procedures employed.
- Observe the overall Live Haul process and actively assist in unloading trucks.
- Complete and present a significant project related to issues within the rendering department, showcasing your analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a four-year university or actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Compensation & Benefits
- $21/hour
- $2,500 relocation stipend
