Emerging Markets Debt Internship:
The Emerging Markets Debt team at Lazard Asset Management is seeking a highly motivated and academically accomplished student to join them as an intern for the summer of 2025. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for students to gain practical experience in emerging markets fixed income, applying their technical skills in a real-world environment alongside an experienced and collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and implementing risk management strategies for emerging market fixed income portfolios.
• Conduct quantitative analysis and research to support risk assessment and decision-making.
• Contribute to P&L attributions for the EM Debt team.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Prepare reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
• Strong academic performance with a major in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in coding (e.g., Python, R, VBA) and familiarity with data analysis and quantitative modeling.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative teamwork skills with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Passion for financial markets, particularly in emerging market fixed income, with an understanding of bonds and derivatives valuations.
• Research assistant experience is a plus.
