About the Job Description: Summer Internship (Sales)

This is a 10-week paid summer internship designed for individuals passionate about a career in sales. The program offers hands-on experience and aims to build sales competencies, allowing interns to make a meaningful impact within the Ferguson organization.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities):
• Gain hands-on experience in core sales areas including customer service, product knowledge, sales processes, customer relationship management (CRM), and performance analysis.
Work alongside experienced sales teams on real-world projects, contributing directly to business operations.
• Assist with shipping and receiving duties in the warehouse to understand the crucial impact of supply chain and logistics on sales.
• Participate in both leadership and sales training sessions, enhancing professional skills.
• Engage in various sales activities, including inside sales, outside sales, counter sales, and branch management, providing comprehensive insight into daily branch operations.
• Attend leadership panels and networking events to connect with professionals across the organization.
Present a final sales project to senior leaders, showcasing learned skills and contributions.
• Experience a one-week immersive experience at the headquarters in Newport News, VA, to further network and gain a deep understanding of Ferguson’s culture and values.

What You Need (Qualifications):
Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field, and be a rising junior or senior.
Availability: Able to commit to working 10 consecutive weeks during the summer.

Upon successful completion of the internship, qualified candidates with strong performance may be extended a job offer. It is important to note that the full-time position offered may not be in the same location as the internship, thus interns should be open to the possibility of relocation.
