Summary of the Internship Program:
CED offers a competitive, paid, rotational internship program designed to provide interns with hands-on experience and a head start in the electrical industry. The program offers diverse perspectives on company operations. Interns will gain experience in various key aspects of CED’s business, including:
• Warehousing & Logistics: Understanding the movement and storage of products.
• Inventory Control & Quality Assurance: Learning about managing stock and ensuring product quality.
• Customer Relations: Developing skills in interacting with and serving customers.
• Purchasing Logistics: Gaining insight into the procurement process.
• Financial Planning: Understanding financial aspects of the business.
• Management & Project Management: Exposure to leadership and project execution.
• Inside/Outside Sales: Experience with direct sales activities.
Beyond rotational learning, interns are actively involved in completing real projects for profit center managers, where their work directly influences decision-making within the company. This provides a unique insight into CED’s culture and potential career opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.
Additional Competencies:
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to solve problems effectively.
• Must be a self-starter capable of handling a heavy volume of work and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
The working conditions for the internship vary significantly based on the intern’s current segment of training. Environments may include:
• Warehouse: Activities might involve lifting, sorting, standing, and potential exposure to extreme heat or cold conditions.
• Office: Segments may require sitting for extended periods.
• External Environments: Exposure to various outside conditions.
Some segments of the internship will involve travel, both by car and by air.
