Job Description:
This is a paid, 12-week summer internship (June-August) at Bangor Savings Bank. Interns are assigned to a department and work on a project-based assignment culminating in a capstone project presentation to bank leadership (a 1-2 page executive summary and a 10-minute oral presentation). The project must have defined objectives, learning goals, and specific outcomes.
Beyond the core project, interns will:
• Perform job duties to support their assigned department, applying classroom knowledge and showcasing learned skills.
• Integrate into the department and BSB’s culture, collaborating with supervisors, team members, other interns, bank leadership, and other departments.
• Participate in activities coordinated by the Talent & Diversity team, including opportunities for paid volunteer or community service projects. They may also participate in a bank-wide project and the Intern Olympics.
• Maintain professional behavior and performance as outlined in the BSB Employee Handbook.
• Submit an internship evaluation to provide feedback for program improvement.
• Meet various key leaders of the bank each week and explore different areas of the bank.
The internship is a temporary assignment and is not benefits-eligible. Compensation is at the Bank’s current living wage rate. Bangor Savings Bank will work with interns and their colleges/universities to accommodate reasonable requirements for academic credit.

• Current college student in good academic standing.
• Demonstrated leadership skills through extracurricular activities, internships, community involvement, or professional experiences.
• Strong intercultural competency.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
Physical Demands:
• General office environment.
• Moderate lifting (up to 35 lbs).
• Moderate reaching, walking, sitting, and standing.
• Valid Maine Driver’s License and transportation.
