Job Description
The Ford Foundation offers a 10-week summer internship program (June 2 – August 8, 2025) for college students residing in the New York tri-state area. Established over 40 years ago, the program provides students with experience in the non-profit and philanthropic sectors.
Job Description:
Internships are available in the program (grant-making) and operations departments. Operations departments include Communications, People & Culture, Facilities, Information Management, Investments, and IT. Assignments vary but generally involve administrative, analytical, research, and special project support. Interns also participate in weekly learning sessions with senior staff, covering career fields, networking, and career planning.
The program operates on a hybrid model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote), Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (35 hours/week). The internship is competitively paid at $38.50/hour. Interns are not eligible for full-time staff benefits, but a full summary will be provided during orientation. The location is the Ford Foundation’s New York City office.
