Job Description: Paid Summer Internship Program
Mark43 is seeking bright and ambitious engineering students for their annual paid summer internship program. The program runs from June 3rd, 2025, to August 26th, 2025. They primarily seek students graduating in Spring/Summer 2026 who have completed their junior year before the internship starts. Prior internship experience building enterprise software is a plus.
Internship Details:
Interns will be fully integrated into a team, working on building product features destined for production. This will provide a well-rounded full-stack coding experience, involving collaboration with product managers and designers. The internship offers the opportunity to experience the entire lifecycle of a feature, from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
• Building new features for Mark43’s products from the ground up.
• Debugging code written by other engineers.
• Collaborating with design and product teams to understand feature requirements.
• Documenting work clearly and concisely.
• Gaining an understanding of the moving parts of a complex enterprise software platform.
• Continuously improving coding skills.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Server-side development experience using Java.
• Experience with web architecture (HTTP & RESTful APIs).
• Basic experience with Javascript and other front-end languages and frameworks.
• Demonstrated understanding of core CS concepts (data structures and algorithms).
• Willingness to empathize with diverse users.
• Open-mindedness and a collaborative attitude.
• Ownership of work and commitment to detail.
• Self-motivation, humility, detail-orientation, and commitment to quality.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Hourly rate of $45 per hour.

Location & Eligibility:
The internship is remote but requires the candidate to reside and work in one of the 40+ approved U.S. states, Canada (Toronto office preferred), or the UK. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in their chosen location; visa sponsorship is not offered.
