Job Description: Summer Internship Opportunities in Wealth Management

WSFS Bank is seeking college students interested in Summer Internship opportunities within their Wealth Management division, which includes Bryn Mawr Trust, Bryn Mawr Capital Management, and Private Banking.

Internship Program Highlights:

Potential Full-Time Opportunity: Rising Seniors may have the opportunity to join WSFS as a full-time Associate upon successful completion of the internship.

Internship Responsibilities:

Wealth Advisory:

• Assist Wealth Advisors, Investment Advisors, Client Service Associates, and Portfolio Analysts in preparing for client meetings.
• Collaborate with relationship teams and financial planners to prepare for client meetings and assist in plan preparation by entering financial data into the financial planning portal.
• Support internal committees and assist in preparing accurate committee minutes.
• Complete special projects to build wealth management capabilities, client experiences, and office operations.
• Prepare communications (mailings, faxing, emailing, filing, making copies, scanning documents, generating reports, etc.).
• Perform research and analyze data for clients.

Private Banking:

• Assist Portfolio Administrators in day-to-day support of Private Banking clients (account set up, money movement, account modifications).
• Create ad hoc reports for senior management and projects in support of Private Banking (market research, marketing materials).
• Learn Private Bank offerings (deposit and loan products, other services).

Legal and Compliance:

• Work with fiduciary counsel team on research projects relating to personal trust administration and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Research the impact of federal and state regulations on the Wealth divisions and prepare summaries for presentations.
• Stay up-to-date on recent case law and its impact on the Wealth divisions, providing summaries to the fiduciary legal team.
• Assist departments in updating and refining procedures and best practice forms.

Strategy and Development:

• Support special projects.
• Collect and organize data on current sponsorships and affiliated associations.
• Create engagement strategies and work with association leaders to develop opportunities to promote products and services.
• Coordinate aspects of events and sponsorships (videos, logos, attendance, prizes, giveaways, registration, collateral, exhibitor booth).
• Develop event calendars and timelines for advertising deadlines for all business units.
• Perform financial accounting, reporting, and analysis (reconciliations, general ledger entries, financial metric interpretation, presentations for senior management).

Bryn Mawr Trust:

• Provide general support to all aspects of trust administration and operations.
• Support customer compliance and due diligence.
• Support Middle Office operations.

Capstone Project:

• The internship concludes with an in-depth capstone project in collaboration with other Wealth Interns, presented to WSFS Senior and Executive Leaders.

Internship Details:

• Paid, full-time (40 hours per week) schedule.
• Location: Designated Wealth or Trust office in Greenville, Wilmington, Rehoboth, Delaware; Philadelphia, Hershey, or Berwyn, Pennsylvania; or Princeton, New Jersey.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older.
• Business-related or related college major preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) full year of college completed by May 2025.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and on time with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to participate in in-person and virtual interviews, orientation, and work in a hybrid environment.
• Availability for the full-time position (40 hours per week) from June to August.
• Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
