About the Internship Opportunity
This is a 10-week summer internship designed for individuals eager to make a genuine impact. You will leverage your unique perspective and knowledge to help us identify operational gaps and improve process efficiency within our Live Operations Team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated support to the Live Operations Team.
- Shadowing within the Hatchery: Gain hands-on understanding of proper egg handling procedures, vaccinations, transferring, and chick handling, alongside observing employee roles in this area.
- Broilers Operations: Witness communication protocols with growers and shadow broiler technicians to comprehend their daily responsibilities. Develop knowledge of optimal housing and farm conditions/operations.
- Breeders Operations: Shadow working alongside pullet crews, gaining firsthand experience in servicing, vaccinations, and weighing processes.
- Feed Mills: Tour the feed mill to observe the entire production process, understanding different types of feed and rigorous testing procedures.
- Live Haul Process: Observe the overall live haul process and assist with unloading trucks.
- Complete and present a project focused on identifying and addressing issues within the rendering department.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Compensation
The successful applicant for this position will receive $21/hour, in addition to a $2,500 relocation stipend.
