Internship Program Overview
The Hylant Summer Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for talented college students to gain practical experience, build vital skills, and network within the insurance industry. The program provides a comprehensive experience with:

Hylant Global Captive Solutions Internship
This specific internship will support the Hylant Global Captive Solutions team, focusing on either Captive Consulting or Captive Management.
Captive Management:
• Conduct research on changes in the captive insurance industry, including regulations, trends, and best practices.
• Assist in analyzing market data related to captive formations and operations.
• Help prepare and analyze financial statements for captive insurance entities.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to project future financial performance.
• Support compliance in ensuring captives adhere to local and international insurance regulations.
• Assist in preparing documentation and reports required for regulatory submissions.
• Help with reviewing policy documents and ensuring accuracy.
• Assist in maintaining records of coverage, limits, and deductibles.
• Review claims submissions and supporting documentation and help track claims statuses.
• Shadow and participate in client meetings and conference calls to discuss captive insurance needs and solutions.
• Help prepare board books and materials for client presentations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Captive Consulting:
• Conduct research on the captive insurance landscape, including industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor analysis.
• Assist in gathering information from clients to understand their insurance needs, risk management strategies, and business objectives.
• Help evaluate the feasibility of forming a captive based on client profiles and requirements.
• Support the preparation of financial models to project the costs, savings, and potential benefits of forming a captive.
• Assist in analyzing clients’ current insurance costs and risk exposures.
• Help prepare feasibility studies that outline the rationale for establishing a captive, including financial projections and risk assessments.
• Assist in drafting reports summarizing findings and recommendations for clients.
• Assist in the design of insurance policies that captives will underwrite, including coverage options, limits, and deductibles.
• Support the development of underwriting guidelines and risk assessment criteria.
• Other duties as assigned.
