Job Description: Summer Internship – Community Engagement and Data Improvement

Blue Cross NC offers a summer internship program focused on bringing fresh perspectives and early-career talent to shape the future of healthcare. This specific internship targets rising juniors or seniors.

What You’ll Do:

The intern will develop and execute plans to further engage communities across North Carolina. The primary goal is to create alignment with current priorities aimed at improving healthcare for all. A key responsibility is improving current reporting and streamlining data collection processes.

Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and executing community engagement plans.
• Improving reporting processes and streamlining data collection.
• Contributing to meaningful projects and initiatives.
• Working alongside innovative leaders.
• Making a real impact on communities.

Qualifications:

Rising Junior or Rising Senior in college.
• Curiosity, drive, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of public health trends and issues.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May 19 – July 25).
• Residing in North Carolina during the internship.

Compensation:

• Rising Junior/Senior: $21/hour.
