Job Description:
Air Liquide offers summer internships designed to introduce college students to the industrial gas industry and the company’s culture. Interns gain practical experience and build professional networks within Air Liquide. The program includes opportunities to connect with employees at all levels and learn about Air Liquide’s corporate identity. High-performing interns may be considered for the ALLEX program.
Engineering Internship Tracks:
• Plant Operations: Provides engineering support for the daily operation of Air Liquide production facilities. Responsibilities encompass assisting with large maintenance activities, process improvements, and gaining familiarity with specific production technologies and the plant environment.
• Technical Support: Offers engineering support to zone engineering teams focused on efficiency and continuous improvement projects across multiple plant locations. This includes aiding in major plant maintenance, new equipment installations, and understanding various plant technologies and operational efficiency models.
• Project Engineer: Assists experienced project engineers and managers on projects ranging from small (<$2M) to large (>$10M). Duties involve vendor and customer interaction, troubleshooting equipment installations, cost estimation, and overseeing maintenance and operational personnel. Interns learn Air Liquide’s project management methodologies and reporting tools.
Business Internships (for Engineering Students):
Air Liquide also provides business-focused internships for engineering students interested in the corporate side. These roles include:
• Product Management
• Business Development
• Strategic Development
• Energy Management
These internships involve contributing to business process improvement, data collection system enhancements, data analysis, and report creation for senior management.
General Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Expected graduation between December 2025 and May 2027.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
• Must provide own transportation to and from work.
• Must secure and finance own housing.
• Must be open and flexible to relocating anywhere in the US during and after the program.
• Air Liquide does not sponsor employment visas or consider candidates on time-limited visa status.
