Job Description:
Ingalls Shipbuilding offers summer internships providing students with experience in technical or administrative positions, potentially leading to future full-time employment. Internships are available in various areas, including Business, Accounting, and Finance.
Some engineering, technical, and waterfront positions may require:
• Physical access to diverse work sites, including ships under construction or overhaul.
• Use of vertical and inclined ladders.
• Limited kneeling, stooping, and standing.
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 18 years of age before the internship starts (mid-May).
• Enrollment in a degreed program relevant to the company’s business requirements (typically Business, Accounting, or Finance).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (transcripts required).
• Undergraduate or graduate program enrollment in the fall following the internship.
• Successful completion of a background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Ability to work a 40-hour work week for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
