Position Summary: Summer Intern, Social Media (Well People)

Well People is seeking a passionate and driven Summer Intern, Social Media to join our team. This is a highly hands-on opportunity designed to provide invaluable experience in social media within the dynamic clean beauty and wellness space, particularly during a high-engagement summer period.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Well People’s social community management, content execution, and real-time trend monitoring across various social platforms. Your contributions will be instrumental in helping the brand maintain a consistent and authentic presence through daily engagement, strategic user-generated content (UGC) sourcing, and proactive awareness of emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities

As the Summer Intern, Social Media for Well People, you will be responsible for:

Community Engagement: Actively supporting daily community management across all social platforms, including diligent monitoring of comments, direct messages, and mentions to foster a positive and responsive brand presence.
Trend Spotting & Reporting: Proactively monitoring, flagging, and reporting on emerging social media trends, relevant conversations, and new content formats, specifically within the clean beauty and wellness categories.
User-Generated Content (UGC) Management: Sourcing, organizing, and meticulously maintaining a library of high-quality user-generated content for potential reposting, amplification, and use in broader marketing campaigns.
Content Support: Assisting with creative content ideation, efficient organization of digital assets, and light content creation as needed to support social media initiatives.
Community Insights: Identifying and flagging recurring community questions, feedback patterns, and valuable insights to inform and enhance both content strategy and overall engagement approaches.
Administrative & Analytical Support: Providing support for social media reporting and assisting with the meticulous maintenance and updating of content calendars to ensure smooth execution of plans.

Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:

Academic Status: Must be a rising junior or senior at an accredited college or university at the time of the internship.
Availability: Must be available for the full internship period: June 1 – August 30 (exact end date subject to slight adjustment).
Work Environment: Available for in-office work at least three days per week at our corporate headquarters.
Passion for Beauty: Possesses a strong interest in beauty, skincare, and wellness, with particular enthusiasm and understanding of the clean beauty space.
Social Media Acumen: Demonstrates a solid understanding of social media culture, emerging trends, and platform-specific behaviors.
Communication Skills: Exhibits clear written communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
Work Ethic: Is organized, proactive, and comfortable multitasking effectively within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Adaptability: Maintains a trend-aware mindset coupled with an eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving social media landscapes.
Prior Experience (Plus): Previous social content experience, whether personal or brand-related, is a plus.
