Job Description: SSGM Rising Junior Summer Internship Platform
This is an experiential learning initiative designed to provide students with an opportunity to explore the dynamic culture and lively, academic atmosphere within State Street Global Markets (SSGM) Sales, Trading and Research business lines. Interns will have the chance to work on assignments aligned with their interests and skill sets, gaining a broader understanding of global financial markets and the clients SSGM serves.
Program Overview:
• Welcome Orientation: A comprehensive introduction to SSGM business lines and the company’s commitment to its employees.
• Training and Networking: Multiple sessions and opportunities to learn, network with peers, mentors, and senior leaders.
• Mentorship: Dedicated mentorship support to guide interns through the workplace and ensure success.
• Two-Summer Structure: The program is structured as two 10-week internships over consecutive summers, with the possibility of transitioning to the Rising Senior Intern Platform after the first summer.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with sales and trading activities
• Assess market trends
• Perform market and quantitative research analysis
• Handle day-to-day transaction needs
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 3.2 GPA preferred
• Undergraduate degrees in: computer science, data science, engineering, Math, Quantitative finance.
• Mathematics, engineering, statistics, machine learning or programming background a plus
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
