### About the Opportunity

American Civil Constructors West Coast is seeking 2026 Summer Interns excited to learn more about the inner-workings of the construction industry. This is an exciting and challenging internship where you will learn how to run and manage multi-million dollar construction projects from both the office and the field. You will play a key role in assisting us with our summer workload in our McLeansville, NC office, gaining invaluable practical experience.

American Civil Constructors West Coast (ACCWC) is a well-established 40-year-old Heavy Civil Construction company with offices in Benicia, CA and McLeansville, NC. We specialize in:
• Constructing, retro-fitting, and repairing bridges
• Specialized pavement overlays

We work all over the country for various DOT’s and Public Works Agencies. Our seasoned crews and management work together to complete projects quickly and efficiently to the Owner’s satisfaction. Many of our projects have quick turn-around times (1-4 weeks), which provides a unique opportunity for summer interns to see projects from start to finish.

### Key Responsibilities

As a Summer Intern, you will be actively involved in various aspects of construction project management, including:
• Tracking Production and Inventory
• Handling Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
• Managing Job Billings
• Coordinating Varying Work Schedules (Day/Night)
• Working Closely with Project Managers, Subcontractors/Suppliers, DOT’s/Owners
• Assisting Project Managers and Field Engineers in their duties
• Collecting Quantities for Payment

### Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Education: Currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Skills (Essential):
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong willingness to learn
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Great communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Enthusiasm to get to work
• Skills (Helpful, but not required): Ability to read and understand project plans.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the office is a must!
• Experience: Desired experience: 0-4 years.

### Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $20 – $24 per hour
• Benefits: This is a temporary position, and therefore, no company benefits are offered.
