This is a summer intern position primarily focused on finance, accounting, or business. The role offers significant exposure to how an Army program business office operates, specifically focusing on government planning, programming, and budget execution.

Essential Job Functions (Responsibilities):

Program Funding Management: Serve as a junior business program/management analyst. This involves assisting in the planning, developing, coordinating, defending, and executing all aspects of the Program Managers’ (PMs) program funding.
Budget Preparation Support: Assist in preparing budget estimate input, ensuring it complies with established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures from higher headquarters.
Program Planning & Development: Provide support in the development of program plans and controls for future or new programs. This includes creating phased milestone schedules that cover the entire lifecycle from development/purchase through fielding. Additionally, assist with the preparation, presentation, and defense of budget submissions.
Funding Execution & ERP Tools: Assist with the execution of funding by utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) or Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) to create essential purchase requests/requisitions.
Data & Document Support: Assist in preparing manpower data requirements and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) builds. The intern will also facilitate Annual Program Resource Validation (APRV) development, support the Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR), and review program acquisition documents for appropriate data content and consistency.

Required Skills:

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements.
Education: Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, having completed at least 1 to 2 years of college.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance is a prerequisite.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
Communication & Organization: Demonstrated strong written, oral, and organizational skills are essential for this role.
